In letzter Zeit wurden eine ganze Reihe von objektorientierten Sprachen zur parallelen Programmierung entworfen und implementiert. Einige dieser Sprachen werden hier einander gegenübergestellt. Das Hauptaugenmerk der Arbeit liegt einerseits auf den bereitgestellten Konzepten zur Bewältigung der Komplexität, die sich durch die Parallelisierung ergibt, und andererseits auf der Flexibilisierung von Synchronisation und Kommunikation zur Optimierung der Parallelisierbarkeit von Programmausführungen

Ist ein Bechterew Rumpf ausdauernder als ein gesunder? : ein Vergleich der Rumpfkraftausdauer von Morbus Bechterew Betroffenen und gesunden Erwachsenen

Darstellung des Themas: Für ihre 4’300 Mitglieder bietet die Schweizerische Vereinigung Morbus Bechterew (SVMB) wöchentliche Gruppentherapien an, mit besonderem Fokus auf Kräftigung der Rumpfmuskulatur. Diese ist von zentraler Bedeutung, da Krankheitsprozesse die dynamische Stabilisation der Wirbelsäule beeinflussen. Jährlich nehmen die Gruppenmitglieder an einer Fitness Standortbestimmung teil. Um diese Daten der Rumpfkraftausdauer der Morbus Bechterew Betroffenen objektiv einzuordnen, werden zu Vergleichszwecken Normdaten von gesunden Erwachsenen benötigt. Ziel: In dieser Arbeit werden Daten von 40- bis 80-jährigen Gesunden für den Bereich der Rumpfkraftausdauer erhoben und mit den Daten von Morbus Bechterew Betroffenen verglichen. Die Zielsetzung lautet, statistisch zu untersuchen, ob Menschen mit Morbus Bechterew eine höhere isometrische Rumpfkraftausdauer aufweisen als Gesunde. Methode: Mit isometrischen Kraftmessungen wurde die ventrale, laterale und dorsale Rumpfkraftausdauer ermittelt. In den Daten wurde nach Unterschieden zwischen den zwei Gruppen gesucht. Ergebnisse: Die Rumpfkraftausdauer von Morbus Bechterew Betroffenen und Gesunden zeigt sowohl bei Frauen als auch bei Männern keinen klinisch relevanten Unterschied. Schlussfolgerung: Obwohl das Rumpfkrafttraining bei Menschen mit Morbus Bechterew einen hohen Stellenwert hat, weisen sie keine höhere Rumpfkraftausdauer als Gesunde auf. Dies unterstreicht die Wichtigkeit, während physiotherapeutischen Einzel- und Gruppentherapien den Fokus auf die Quantität, Qualität und die Dosierung der Rumpfkraftübungen zu legen.Description of the subject: The Ankylosing Spondylitis Association of Switzerland (Schweizerische Vereinigung Morbus Bechterew) offers weekly exercise groups for their 4’300 members. The groups lay a special focus on increasing the core muscle strength, which is especially important because disease processes affect the dynamic stabilization of the spine. The group members take part in annual fitness assessments. To collate the data of the core strength endurance of the patients with axial spondyloarthritis, normative data of healthy controls are needed. Objective: Normative data of the core strength endurance of healthy adults between 40 and 80 years old have been measured and compared to the data of patients with axial spondyloarthritis. The objective is to assess whether patients with axial spondyloarthritis have a higher core strength endurance than healthy controls. Methods: The isometric strength endurance of the ventral, lateral and dorsal core muscle chains were measured. The data were analysed for group differences. Relevant results: There were no clinically relevant differences found between the patients with axial spondyloarthritis and the healthy controls, neither in the male nor the female results. Conclusion: Eventhough the strengthening of the core muscles is especially important for patients with axial spondyloarthritis, no differences compared to healthy controls were found. Pathogenesis of experimental salmonid alphavirus infection in vivo: an ultrastructural insight

Salmonid alphavirus (SAV) is an enveloped, single-stranded, positive sense RNA virus belonging to the familyTogaviridae. It causes economically devastating disease in cultured salmonids. The characteristic features of SAV infection include severe histopathological changes in the heart, pancreas and skeletal muscles of diseased fish. Although the presence of virus has been reported in a wider range of tissues, the mechanisms responsible for viral tissue tropism and for lesion development during the disease are not clearly described or understood. Previously, we have described membrane-dependent morphogenesis of SAV and associated apoptosis-mediated cell death in vitro. The aims of the present study were to explore ultrastructural changes associated with SAV infection in vivo. Cytolytic changes were observed in heart, but not in gill and head-kidney of virus-infected fish, although they still exhibited signs of SAV morphogenesis. Ultrastructural changes associated with virus replication were also noted in leukocytes in the head kidney of virus-infected fish. These results further describe the presence of degenerative lesions in the heart as expected, but not in the gills and in the kidney

Development of a Recombinase Polymerase Amplification Assay for Rapid Detection of Francisella noatunensis subsp. orientalis

Francisella noatunensis subsp. orientalis (Fno) is the causative agent of piscine francisellosis in warm water fish including tilapia. The disease induces chronic granulomatous inflammation with high morbidity and can result in high mortality. Early and accurate detection of Fno is crucial to set appropriate outbreak control measures in tilapia farms. Laboratory detection of Fno mainly depends on bacterial culture and molecular techniques. Recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) is a novel isothermal technology that has been widely used for the molecular diagnosis of various infectious diseases. In this study, a recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) assay for rapid detection of Fno was developed and validated. The RPA reaction was performed at a constant temperature of 42 degreesC for 20 min. The RPA assay was performed using a quantitative plasmid standard containing a unique Fno gene sequence. Validation of the assay was performed not only by using DNA from Fno, closely related Francisella species and other common bacterial pathogens in tilapia farms, but also by screening 78 Nile tilapia and 5 water samples. All results were compared with those obtained by previously established real-time qPCR. The developed RPA showed high specificity in detection of Fno with no cross-detection of either the closely related Francisella spp. or the other tested bacteria. The Fno-RPA performance was highly comparable to the published qPCR with detection limits at 15 and 11 DNA molecules detected, respectively. The RPA gave quicker results in approximately 6 min in contrast to the qPCR that needed about 90 min to reach the same detection limit, taking only 2.7- 3 min to determine Fno in clinical samples. Moreover, RPA was more tolerant to reaction inhibitors than qPCR when tested with field samples. The fast reaction, simplicity, cost-effectiveness, sensitivity and specificity make the RPA an attractive diagnostic 41 tool that will contribute to controlling the infection through prompt on-site detection of Fno

The partial position paper on the topic of "Public Service Provision" is related to the parallel position papers of the working team of the ARL state working group NRW. Its task is to contribute to presenting the future prospects of rural areas in North Rhine-Westphalia, to discuss problems and to make recommendations for stimulating and implementing measures. The present position paper explicitly addresses the areas of fire brigades and fire protection as well as health and care in the rural areas of North Rhine-Westphalia. Both areas are facing great challenges, among other things due to demographic change, but are important for everyday life and the future of rural areas. The above-mentioned topics are presented and discussed in five core-requirements. Each of them is followed by address-oriented recommendations for action. Decisive challenges for both areas are, among others, the lack of skilled labor and migration, especially of younger population groups. Furthermore there are a decline in volunteers, and outdated organizational structures. The consequences of these developments require very different approaches in rural areas in order to ensure the provision of services of general interest. Above all, mobile concepts, digitization and the promotion of voluntary work are central approaches for action. The combination of family and work is nowadays an important starting point for the solution of many problems, so that, among other items, the role of women in this context must be reconsidered and promoted with regard to voluntary work. In times of the corona pandemic, digitalization in particular offers a great opportunity. Especially at the upper levels, various interventions are needed to help communities problems regarding services of with problems of general interest in the areas of fire fighting and fire protection as well as health and care.Dieses Teil-Positionspapier fokussiert das Themenfeld "Daseinsvorsorge". Seine Aufgabe besteht darin, dazu beizutragen, die Zukunftsperspektiven ländlicher Räume in Nordrhein-Westfalen vorzustellen, Problematiken zu thematisieren und Handlungsempfehlungen zu unterbreiten. Das vorliegende Positionspapier widmet sich explizit den Bereichen "Feuerwehr und Brandschutz" sowie "Gesundheit und Pflege" in den ländlichen Räumen Nordrhein-Westfalens. Beide Bereiche stehen u.a. aufgrund des demographischen Wandels vor großen Herausforderungen, sind jedoch bedeutend für das alltägliche Leben und die Zukunft ländlicher Räume. Die genannten Themenfelder werden in insgesamt fünf Kernforderungen dargelegt und diskutiert. Jeder Kernforderung folgen adressatenorientierte Handlungsempfehlungen. Maßgebende Herausforderungen für beide Bereiche sind u.a. der Fachkräftemangel, Abwanderungen vor allem jüngerer Bevölkerungsgruppen, ein Rückgang an ehrenamtlich Tätigen sowie veraltete Organisationsstrukturen. Dieses Teil-Positionspapier fokussiert das Themenfeld "Wirtschaft und Arbeit". Es steht im Zusammenhang mit den parallel erarbeiteten Positionspapieren der Arbeitsgruppe der ARL-Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft NRW und trägt mit diesen zusammen dazu bei, Zukunftsperspektiven ländlicher Räume in Nordrhein-Westfalen vorzustellen. In Nordrhein-Westfalen tragen die ländlichen Räume - ungeachtet großer regionaler Differenziertheit - maßgeblich zur wirtschaftlichen Leistungskraft des Landes bei. Im regionalen Wettbewerb positionieren sie sich zunehmend mit eigenen regional-ökonomischen Profilen, regionalspezifischen Stärken und Potenzialen. Maßgebliche Herausforderungen für die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung und für den Wandel der ländlichen Arbeitswelten ergeben sich neben dem Klimawandel aus dem demographischen Wandel, der Zunahme von Nutzungskonkurrenzen, der Digitalisierung sowie aus dem Agrarstrukturwandel. Die Corona-Pandemie setzt aktuell zusätzliche Akzente, deren Folgewirkungen noch nicht vollständig absehbar sind. Als Ergebnis kritischer Auseinandersetzung mit den Herausforderungen sehen die Autorinnen und Autoren Zukunftsperspektiven ländlicher Räume als Wirtschaftsräume in NRW maßgeblich begründet in fünf Themenfeldern. They relate to a new understanding of growth, the securing and retention of skilled labour as a central factor of economic stability and development capability. Furthermore they relate to options for action to reduce the problem of land availability and competition, to changed, regionally adapted concepts of economic development and, last but not least, to a forward-looking, approach to an increasingly differentiated agricultural sector and a changing role of agriculture in society. The demographic development in North Rhine-Westphalia is characterised by strong re-regional differences between growth and shrinkage. The quantitative and qualitative changes caused by population and household development have different regional effects on future housing needs and demands. The finite nature of land resources makes it necessary to focus more on internal development. As a result of a critical analysis of the challenges, the future prospects of rural areas as residential and settlement areas in NRW are based on five main themes. They relate to expanded and modified offers of small housing units for different demand groups, the strengthening of holistic and strategic planning approaches in rural municipalities, active land resource management in municipal and regional housing and settlement development, the use of municipal control instruments and regional and inter-municipal cooperation. The above-mentioned topics are presented and explained in five core-requirements. Ländliche Räume in NRW - Räume mit Zukunftsperspektiven: Rahmen-Positionspapier

Together with four parallel thematically focussed sub-position papers, the framework position paper presented here sets the presentation framework in which the results of the working group "Future perspectives of rural areas in NRW" of the ARL, LAG NRW are presented. The four main topics are "Economy and Work", "Housing and Settlement Development", "Civic Engagement and Volunteering" and "Services of General Interest, Focus: Fire Department/Fire Protection and Health/Care". The framework position paper provides introductory information on the task at hand. It is based on the structural-functional definition of "Types of rural areas" by the Thuenen Institute (Federal Research Institute for Rural Areas, Forests and Fisheries) and describes the working group's self-conception in "dealing" with rural areas. In their great heterogeneity and with regard to their development perspectives, these are seen less as problem areas than as regions of opportunities. A future-oriented approach is linked to this perspective. The framework position paper explains the derivation of the focused priority topics, which are processed in greater detail and on the basis of core-requirements and recommendations for action in the sub-position papers, and condenses the results obtained there in the form of four summarising core claims. The challenges and opportunities for the development of rural areas in NRW on which the framework position paper is based have been derived from current specific rural problems, but above all also from generally valid megatrends which will shape the future and do not only apply to rural areas. These include demographic change, digital transformation, socio-economic and cultural changes in society and work, and changing lifestyles, as well as climate change. Furthermore, the paper emphasises the role of urban development qualities and regional building culture as qualitative location factors not to be neglected in the context of local and regional development. In terms of the heterogenity of rural areas and their initial situations, sustainability means taking up the influences outlined above and developing and providing tailor-made strategies for steering and programmatic approaches to supporting rural development paths. The framework position paper, together with the thematic sub-position papers and the core-requirements and recommendations for action formulated therein, provides a basis for discussion.Das vorgelegte Rahmen-Positionspapier bildet zusammen mit vier parallel erarbeiteten thematisch fokussierten Teil-Positionspapieren den Darstellungsrahmen, in dem die Ergebnisse der Arbeitsgruppe "Zukunftsperspektiven ländlicher Räume in NRW" der LAG NRW der ARL vorgestellt werden. Die vier fokussierten Schwerpunktthemen sind "Wirtschaft und Arbeit", "Wohn- und Siedlungsentwicklung", "Bürgerschaftliches Engagement und Ehrenamt" sowie "Daseinsvorsorge, Fokus: Feuerwehr/Brandschutz und Gesundheit/Pflege". Das Rahmen-Positionspapier gibt einführende Informationen zur gestellten Aufgabe. Es legt den strukturell-funktionalen Definitionsansatz "Typen ländlicher Räume" des Thünen-Institutes (Bundesforschungsinstitut für Ländliche Räume, Wald und Fischerei) für die Arbeit zugrunde und beschreibt das Selbstverständnis der Arbeitsgruppe im "Umgang" mit "ländlichen Räumen": Diese werden in ihrer großen Heterogenität und hinsichtlich ihrer Entwicklungsperspektiven weniger als Problem- als vielmehr als Chancenräume begriffen. Mit dieser Blickrichtung ist eine zukunftsorientierte Herangehensweise verknüpft. Das Rahmen-Positionspapier erläutert die Ableitung der fokussierten Schwerpunktthemen, die mit größerer Detailtiefe und anhand von Kernforderungen und Handlungsempfehlungen in den Teil-Positionspapieren aufbereitet werden, und kondensiert die dort gewonnenen Ergebnisse in Form von vier zusammenfassenden Kernforderungen. Die im Rahmen-Positionspapier zugrunde gelegten Herausforderungen und Chancen für die Entwicklung ländlicher Räume in NRW wurden dabei aus aktuellen spezifischen "ländlichen" Problemlagen, v.a. aber auch aus allgemeingültigen Megatrends abgeleitet, die die Zukunft prägen werden und nicht nur für ländliche Räume gelten. Dazu gehören v.a. der demographische Wandel, die digitale Transformation, sozioökonomische und kulturelle Veränderungen von Gesellschaft und Arbeit und sich wandelnde Lebensstile wie auch der Klimawandel. Darüber hinaus wird im Papier die Rolle von städtebaulichen Qualitäten und regionaler Baukultur als nicht zu vernachlässigende qualitative Standortfaktoren im Kontext von örtlicher und regionaler Entwicklung hervorgehoben. Zukunftsfähigkeit bedeutet, im Sinne der Heterogenität ländlicher Räume und ihrer Ausgangslagen, die skizzierten Einflüsse aufzugreifen und passgenaue Strategien zur Steuerung wie auch programmatische Handlungsansätze zur Unterstützung von ländlichen Entwicklungswegen zu erarbeiten und bereitzuhalten. The partial position paper on the topic of "Civic Engagement and Volunteering" is related to the parallel position papers of the working team of the ARL state working group NRW. Its task is to contribute to the presentation of future prospects for rural areas in North Rhine-Westphalia, to discuss problems and to make recommendations for stimulating and implementing measures. This paper focuses on the importance of civic engagement for the creation of the equivalence of living conditions, the provision of services of general interest in rural areas and as a driver of social innovation. Civic engagement is a pillar of rural development and must be understood as a driving force of regional economy, especially in rural areas. But engagement is changing. Associations, initiatives, municipalities and regions must respond to this if they take civic engagement and voluntary work seriously as a key force in shaping the future of rural areas. As a result of critically examining the challenges, the authors equate civic engagement in its core thesis with the cognition, appreciation and significance and their need for human and financial resources with that of local economic development (agencies). Four further thesis and concrete recommendations for action are derived from this basic understanding. They call for the creation of local/regional models and strategies for civic commitment in the sense of a clear "must have" for processes and projects on the future of rural areas in NRW. They refer to new concepts of life which are becoming more and more differentiated, to a culture of commitment and to a changing role of commitment in society. They point out options for networking activities, funding opportunities, support structures and their professionalization and plead for consistent investment in minds, formats and inspiring and impulse-giving places. Digitization and digital transformation are seen as a challenge, but above all as an opportunity for future engagement. The above topics are presented and explained in five core-requirements. Als Ergebnis kritischer Auseinandersetzung mit den Herausforderungen setzen die Autorinnen und Autoren bürgerschaftliches Engagement in ihrer Kernforderung daher in Wahrnehmung, Wertschätzung und Wertigkeit sowie dem Bedarf an personellen und finanziellen Ressourcen der kommunalen Wirtschaftsförderung gleich. Aus diesem Grundverständnis heraus werden vier weitere Kernforderungen und konkrete Handlungsempfehlungen abgeleitet. Sie fordern für die Prozesse und Projekte zur Zukunft ländlicher Räume in NRW die Schaffung lokaler/regionaler Leitbilder und Strategien für bürgerschaftliches Engagement im Sinne eines klaren "Must-have". Sie beziehen sich auf sich weiter ausdifferenzierende Lebensentwürfe, auf Engagementkultur und eine sich verändernde Rolle von Engagement in der Gesellschaft. Sie zeigen Handlungsoptionen für Vernetzungsaktivitäten, Fördermöglichkeiten, Unterstützungsstrukturen sowie deren Professionalisierung auf und plädieren für konsequentete Investition in Köpfe, Formate sowie inspirierende und impulsgebende Orte. Digitalisierung und digitale Transformation werden dabei als Herausforderung, v. a. aber auch als Chance für die Zukunft des Engagements begriffen
